Heart shapes are the most popular shape of fans for a wedding fan, but you can really choose any shape that you like. Create a layout complete with pictures and design for your fan on the computer, and print it out. Then you can either buy some card stock and print off all the copies you will need on your computer or take it to a copy shop (their printers are better-and don't cost much money) and get all the print outs you need for each side. White is the most popular color for fans, though you can use colored paper to compliment your wedding colors as well which, can be very pretty.
Then, having a pre-made template, cut out all of your pages into the shape you have decided on, and then you can go to work.
