If you want to succeed in something, you have to work hard for it because succeeding just do not happen even without exerting so much of a little effort that you can. It is either you win or lose and nothing in between. This as much is true with dating. The harder you make things work out, the greater chances you have that indeed you have what it takes to live happy and lucky. It is on how you handle certain things to make sure that you benefit from them and not the other way around. It is important that you know how dating works so that you can make things to work out for you too.
You have to be sure what you really want in a guy. You need to know some criteria that you want to see in a guy although of course this is not an absolute thing because sometimes love can play tricks. Sometimes what you set up as criterion is not exactly what you can see in your partner in the end but it never hurts to set up some ideals in what we really want to see. For instance, in my case it automatically turns me off if a guy who smokes and drink or any undesirable vices. I automatically add him to my list of people to be ignored. Do not be desperate to take on just some guy who is not even a quarter of the word ideal.
If you are really serious about who you are going to date, it follows that you want a serious details about your potential dates and not just because somebody recommended him or her to you. It does not mean that if this is really the case, you would rely on that basic knowledge that they are good because your friend said so. Remember that people are people and they sometimes hide what needs to be hidden perhaps because of hidden intentions or maybe on the lighter side just do not want to be embarrassed. People have secrets that are better off unsaid and better forgotten.
When you are in a date, do not slack off on topics that will interest the both of you unless you are comfortable in dead silence but even if you are comfortable with that, your potential partner may find it rather boring and may not want to go out with you ever again. Conversations are very important especially when you are out on a date. Let him or her do the talking and not the other way around. Once you get him/her to participate and once he starts telling you things about life and views, it will not be long until you will get his/her attention and will leave him/her wanting for something more.
Whatever you do, leave a very good impression on him or her. There would be a very good chance that at one point or another he or she will really fall for you. You just have to play right cards and keep some aces for you to play right through the end.
