Did you ever think why you make yourself busy? Maybe others are not aware of it, but the reason we make ourselves busy is to forget the loneliness and sorrow that is happening to our life.

The best cure when we worry too much is to make ourself busy. We can forget our tension and depression if we consume our time in making things that we can be busy at least for a day.

If we let ourselves be at home and alone, all the depression, problems and those of other people's problems can be absorbed by our mind. And what is the result? You worry a lot because you think negative. However big the problems or how lonely we are will surely be solved if we forget ourselves for a while and try to help others who have more serious problems than we have. We feel relieved if the people we choose to help have greater problems than we what we have. Because of this we forget to think of our own problems in life.

Why are the retired people getting sicker and getting weaker? The reason is because all their lives they are working and then they stop suddenly. They have to stop on the usual things that they do. The body system is not used to relaxing all day and it makes them weaker because there is no activity being done. As the saying goes: Anything that is not used becomes useless.

I also have made myself busy in order to prevent from being bored and depressed sometimes. I do things that can run out my time without having to think of my problems. There are 3 kinds of sorrows. Those that are made by the self, second are those created by situations, and third are those made by others. To ease the feeling of sorrow we have to keep ourselves busy.

There are a lot of things we can do aside from reading and watching television.

1. We can join church communities or organizations that create projects to help the community.

2. Visit the sick people, like your friends and your neighbors.

3. Write letters to old friends and relatives.

4. Take care of pets.

5. Exercise

6. And the most important of all to help poor people.

Loneliness is 90% self pity according to Rev. John W. McKelvey. There are people who think negative on the entire sorrowful event that happens to their lives. The sickness that we may be feeling may be made by negative thoughts. Fill your minds with positive thoughts from the good things that happen to your life and through good experiences that you may have had.

Whenever we feel lonely just do of all these. Try to think everyday how you can please someone. You can never be lonely if you can help someone whose life is much miserable than yours. Make yourself busy for that is the biggest help for you to forget the problems and loneliness in your life. Just remember this, never in the life of a person will he make himself feel lonely if only he can forget his own situation and help others instead.
