The classroom is a battlefield. It is an arena where minds of different walks of life battle one another to determine who has superior intellectual ability. Every regular school day is a battle. It is a barren field of soldiers and warriors where deceit and trickery would be the best weapons to be with. That 10 month period of going to school every year is the annual duration of that battle. You get to face off with them and decide whom to become allies with and whom to declare war with. Every day is a chance to get ahead and take out your opposition one at a time or if possible in groups.
Each of you was sent to learn and prove yourselves worthy of bearing your family name. To fight off and drag you to the top is the ultimate goal of schooling. To learn is just something extra. Each of your classmates has their own agenda and strategy of getting to the top. Some may be rogues, some maybe leeches, and some may be the goody-two shoes, some may be thieves, and some may just care less so much that they choose to not take part in the battle.
Rogues are the geniuses and brainiacs, they seem to know everything and they usually live by the book. Most rogues choose to be alone and believe that everyone else would only hinder them in their studies. Leeches are those who are good with relations. They know whom to stick with and as the term describes it, they survive the war by sticking with them.
Leeches practically know how to cling to any type of person in the battlefield. Goody-two shoes are those who are very much straight forward with anything. They are the type who won't drag you down and won't let themselves hinder you. G-t s is those who won't be that much of a concern amidst the battle. Loyal and ever caring. They are the people to be with. Much alike goody-two shoes are those who do not really care about the war. They have their own little war amongst themselves. The battlefield for them is nothing but a playground to meet and greet new playmates.
Then there are thieves. Thieves are the most deceitful and most unpredictable. They can be as sly as leeches or as kind as Goody-two shoes. They have the carelessness of those who do not care much and the wits of the rogues. They are the perfect blend of every class and yet they cling to deceit and shadiness.
When you entered school you had neither allies nor enemies. These ties and grudges are opened up at the battlefield. Though everyone is considered to be your adversary, there will be a chosen few who would be loyal with you and you would have to consider as faithful allies. They are those whom you can refer to as friends.
This is a nature of education that very few people have failed to see. A nature which runs inside the mind of students who have that thirst for competition. A thought which displays that amazing amount of competitiveness from a nerd or a geek who sees every other day as a struggle to be superior. This is a truth that lays inside the minds of a selected few students all over the world. A thought by those few which simply thinks that the classroom is a battlefield and that studying is a war.
