Being in a relationship would mean you know how to be a team dual player. A relationship is not a one-man game but involves two persons vowing to be together. It is not something that should be neglected for selfish gains because if you want to make your relationship successful you should exert constant effort together with your partner. It is not unusual to commit mistakes within the relationships. Human as we are, we are bound to have flaws and imperfections. However, there are just some mistakes that are too childish and irrational. And you must strive to avoid them as much as possible if you want your marriage to work out. Let us look at some common mistakes people commit within the relationship.
Insecurity coupled with constant jealousy: This mistake is commonly a result of a failed unresolved issue or relationship in the past. But it certainly does not mean that you cannot control this impulse because you could for certain. If you truly love your partner, you do not have to doubt and you do not have to compare him from your previous failed relationships because he is he and not them. Do not put your partner in the same box as your previous one because that is not just a good way to go through. You should know how insulting it could be to a guy if you try to compare him to your previous ones. Give another thought of it and put yourself on his shoes.
Pessimistic coupled with negative thoughts: It is important in a relationship to stay positive the way which means you had to see things always in the bright side especially when both of you are undergoing some turmoil in your relationship. It simply is not enough to see each other eye to eye. It is important that you see beyond whatever lies behind. Being a pessimist and negative all the time is simply going to give your partner a hard time dealing with this, so if you seriously love your partner and wants to make the relationship work, give it at least a belief that it will. A relationship could not succeed if in the first place you are already thinking otherwise.
Trying to change your partner to one that you want: In other words, you simply do not like or accept the partner you married for who he is and what he has. In this case you do not need a husband or wife, you need clay. With clay, you can do whatever you want with it. Whatever shape, whatever appearance is very much alright. You can mold it into the one you want to look and you can change it anytime. However, in relationship, this would not certainly do because people are people and there is nothing you can do to change that. You married the man or woman because of love and love accepts everything he is, his flaws and imperfections alike, his past, present and future no excuses, nothing more and nothing less.
