Of course, tell them that you are going to a new place in advance which is neccesary. Make sure that they understand the good things and bad things of the new place also. Not everyone is good to talk to and to follow. Stay away from strangers. Give them mobile phones to make sure you can call them to check on them. And never let them go with people who you just know for a couple of hours.
