In today's world of technology, people of all ages are looking for online love. It's amazing how many married couples have actually met online and how many singles are using the internet and finding success.
A good friend of mine found and connected with his latest girlfriend through the internet. In
the beginning he was somewhat skittish about online dating, thinking that he'd end up with some psychopath and worrying that using the web to find someone said something about his own character. However, his experience turned out to be very favorable, and I'm sure he would try this again, should his current relationship come to an end.
I know several people that I grew up with, who have sought after and found a relationship online. Two cases in particular actually led to marriage - marriages that have turned out to be successful and lasting. Seeking love online is no longer a shady pastime, or something to hide
or be embarrassed of. Most people have high speed internet connections these days, along with computers in their own homes or offices, and pursuing this option has now become very viable.
Of course, when choosing this route, there can be some pitfalls along the way. However, by playing it smart, moving slowly, and really getting to know a person, it is possible to find
a real and satisfying relationship.
Online love is no longer the stuff of fantasy movies. It has moved into the realm of reality. People of all ages are making online love work, resulting in happiness for many formerly lonely hearts.
Recently, another friends own father signed up an account with an internet dating service. However, it wasn't for himself - he was looking for someone for his cousin. She has been single for many years and is very lonely. She was interested in changing that situation, but she wasn't too sure about how to set up an online identity. So, my friends' Dad stepped up to the plate and put together a profile complete with pictures, likes and dislikes, measurements and requirements. From what I've heard she's had several successful dates and at least a couple of potentials for something more.
When beginning on a quest to find online love, one can make the search as local or as far-reaching as desired. Depending on your preferences, you can narrow down your search as specifically as you like, or you can open up the playing field to allow for all sorts of opportunities for online love. If you are a bit on the nervous side, you can even search for friendship only and build your way up to searching for a potential date, or more; online.
In the end, even if you don't end up finding online love, you will still meet some interesting people and broaden your horizons.
